On Wednesday 20 February 2019, writer and artist Dr Ope Lori will be discussing her work and that of 4 other artists: Rachel Maclean, Ajamu, Sadie Lee and NT as a precursor to her forthcoming book Beyond The Feminine: The Politics of Skin Colour and Gender in Visual Representations, [2019]. Dr Lori’s interests include the “politics of looking and recognition, empowerment and disempowerment” as well as “exploring the ambivalent positions in wanting to be seen versus those who are not seen”.
Attendance is free but tickets must be booked.
